    Engines available: 5.0L 302ci V8 240hp; 5.8L 351ci V8 285hp; 7.0L 429ci V8 360-375hp.   Transmission: three-speed automatic; Toploader four-speed manual.  Wheelbase: 117"; weight; unit-body construction; length 209.9".

Facts:

     Mercury's sport version of the intermediate Montego, a two-door coupe available in base, GT, and Spoiler versions.  Designed on a unitized chassis, this "supercar" weighed close to two tons but would accelerate 0-60 in under six seconds, and through the quarter mile in under fifteen.  Ram Air was available with the CJ (Cobra Jet) and SCJ (Super Cobra Jet) 429ci engines.
