1964 Mercury Comet Caliente

"I'm submitting my '64 Caliente for your car of the month. This was the first (and only) car my parents bought me (in '66). I'm the second owner. He (his name is George) had a complete rotisserie restoration completed in February of 2006. Everything important is original: K-Code 289 (225 HP- balanced & blueprinted), 4-speed, 3.25 rear end, sheet metal, color, etc. Over the years he's been upgraded with Edelbrock intake/carb (I have the originals), cast iron hi-po headers, dual exhaust, Mallory pointless ignition, A/C unit, front disc brakes, battery located in the trunk, Crager SS rims, AM/FM/Cassette stereo (in the original location), XM radio, kick-panel speakers and a complete alarm system. He is a "driver" that's been taken on long trips and performed great over mountain roads and 80 MPH interstate highways."
